icedove-bidiui software package provides BiDirectional support for Icedove, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install icedove-bidiui
icedove-bidiui is installed in your system.
Make ensure the icedove-bidiui package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep icedove-bidiui *
You will get with icedove-bidiui package name, version, architecture and description in a table
